Index and Match functions - #VALUE error

Hi,

I do not know how start this but I am lost. I do not know where else to go or what to do next. This is what just popped on my mind that I need some pro advice and help from the community on how to tackle this problem of mine. I have this two files, the first file with the name 'UPDATED' on it, on column P and row 57 I created a function using index and match combine where I get a error of #VALUE!, and I cannot think of any way to tackle the problem. This is the link http://www.exceltactics.com/vlookup-...index-match/4/ of my reference where I copied the tutorial on how to vlookup using index and match function with multiple criteria. I really hope you can help me with my problem. I will just explain what my function is doing basically first of I used index, on the first parameter of it in the table of array where I will be looking at (which is the other file that has no 'update' name on it). on the second parameter I used match function, and this is where it got a bit tricky. I followed the turorial the best way I can from the link above. Finally on the third parameter I post the column where I will be getting my value. I really hope who ever will be reading this can understand my explanation and can help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: Index and Match functions - #VALUE error

Hi, welcome to the forum

I can find no formulas in your file

Can you explain to me what you are trying to do here? (I need to find xxx based on yyy and zzz)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards
Ford

Re: Index and Match functions - #VALUE error

Hi Ford,

Thanks for welcoming me really appreciate it.

I really apologies for the inconvenience that the file I uploaded did not have the formula. I downloaded the file again and checked it and it did not see the formula, really sorry for that. I guess I am just getting to this forum haha. Anyway, I was already able to solve the problem using concatenation inside vlookup and using the choose function on the second parameter. Thanks to the owner of this website http://chandoo.org/wp/2014/10/28/mul...ition-vlookup/, it helped me. Hope the link can also be of any help you guys in the future.

Anyway, thanks a many again for responding right away, really appreciate it.
