    Footers across workbook

    I need help please!
    1. how do I put page numbers in the footer of the entire workbook?!
    2. how do I put an image in the footer across the entire workbook as well?
    3. n WHY oh why when I export it as a PDF does it not include the final sheets in the workbook?

when I click the footer and add a page number it adds a pg # but only to that sheet. I need it to add pg #s to the entire workbook. Any tips?
Also, when I click the footer/header section it takes away the ability to add a photo. And I can't cut and paste a photo in it either. Any ideas?

Go to 'Page Layout, 'Print Titles, 'Header/Footer, 'Custom Footer. The option box will allow you to select a variety of inserts including images.

As or the PDF check that all pages have been selected in the 'Print Area, and use custom page breaks if you need to.

Blind Alley thanks for your reply.

I followed your instructions, unfortunately the page numbers are still only inserted into the sheet I'm currently on, but I need the page numbers to be consecutive throughout the workbook. Also, there were options to add to header/footer, but still no image.

do you have any other ideas?

Each worksheet (Tab) can have many pages and the header and footer apply to one worksheet. Other worksheets have their own headers and footers and are printed separately.

I didn't want to put my work on here, so I made a trial doc.
I'd like each sheet/tab to have consecutive page numbering (as indicated by the lame title on each sheet).
Let me know if you can help

    Re: Footers across workbook

If it can be done, it would take VBA to do it. Excel itself doesn't have the capability to print the way that you want. As you have probably already discovered, the header and footer don't supply any means of carrying forward the last page from the previous worksheet.

When I had large print jobs like you probably have, I copied all the worksheets onto one worksheet and printed from that.

If you are interested in a solution like that there is a macro at this site that might be of help:
