Excel advice, how to manage club tracking

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help.
We run activity clubs in the boarding houses and need to track which ones the students attend.
We would like an entry sheet where club leaders would enter student ID, date and the type of activity.
But then we would like the ID to be looked up (to find their appropriate house) and then for the information regarding the activity and date attended to be added to the student "row" on that particular houses tab.

Any ideas/suggestions.

I suggest that you have a master list of students on a worksheet with IDs and the House that each belongs to.

Use a worksheet to list all the activities and who attended.

This simple workbook might give you some ideas.

It uses VLOOKUP to get the student data once the student ID is entered.

I'd thought of something similar, my stumbling block is then transferring the data into the individual house sheets.
As I don't know if vlookup results can then be feed through.

Bob smith house a
John Jones house b

How can I get John Jones to appear on the house b tab

You don't need individual house worksheets for activities. Just use the filter on the House column and filter by the House name. All the activity of that house will be brought forward without formulae being used.

This workbook (an extension of the first one) separates the data in Sheet1 onto House worksheets (coloured tabs).

I know we don't need it, I just have lazy house leaders that don't want to use filters!
