match closest date from within range matching ID number

Hey guys, I have a similar issue as in this topic

However, the second part of the formula is not working

=MAX(IF(DR!$AJ$3:$AJ$13788<=MA!$B$6,DR!$AJ$1:DR!$AJ$13788,""))

I'm stuck with this formula. How should I include the condition that the company tickers should match?

Ok so basically
- there is an acquiring company with a specific ticker
- the acquiring company has acquired target at the date as specified in sheet MA
- Sheet DR gives an important value/characteristic DR of the acquiring company for me (I want to compare this value between the annual report before and after the acquisition)

However, it seems I cannot get to this important value at once

Therefore I first want to get the date of the annual report of the acquiring company before AND after the acquisition date.
Problematic is that not all reports are published at year end.

So therefore I want to construct this function, to get the closest reporting date for the specific companies, before and after the acquisition date.

I know that this small sample only gives some results. I can upload a larger one if you'd like.
