Getting a cell to display the value of a live cell

Is there a way that I can choose a single cell and have it display whatever is in the A column of the row that I have clicked onto?

E.G. I choose Cell D2, and when I click onto cell F7, cell D2 displays A7, if I click onto cell B37, cell D2 displays cell A37 etc.
