Data validation - unique list of table column values
Hello there,
Looking at the screenshot below does anyone know the simplest way to create a *unique* list of values in the data validation list? (ie no duplicates).

Select the list click on the Data tab, click on Remove Duplicates. Then create the data validation rule.

Just one quick add on question, is it possible at all to have the Data Validation list ONLY the Male names in the list?

You would need 3 lists. One for gender, a list of female names, a list of male names.
This simple workbook demonstrates the above.
