Question Consolidate Rows with the same address in client list

So what I am dealing with is a list of all of our clients, and I am preparing to do a mail merge to print labels for Christmas cards. Right now I have 875 rows of data. The issue is that the system list every client individually, and I don't want multiple Christmas cards sent to the same household. So I want the row that has Mary Smith and the row that has John Smith to combine into a single row that says John & Mary Smith. What is the most time efficient was to do this?

Re: Consolidate Rows with the same address in client list

How do you know that John Smith and Mary Smith are the same household instead of being two unrelated people who happen to share the last name? What if Mary kept her maiden name so they are the same household but their names are John Smith and Mary Jones?

If I was you I would concatenate every name that goes to the same mailing address so it looks something like "John Smith & Mary Smith," grab that list and move it to a separate list, and then remove duplicates, and feed that into mailmerge.

Re: Consolidate Rows with the same address in client list

Ben_Hansel, I think you misunderstand me. I am consolidating entries with the same mailing address, not same last name.
    Merge Example.xlsx
Here is an example of what it is I'm looking to do. I know It would still require some manual checking on my part, but something to do this automatically would cut the time I spend on these list in the office in half.

    @ Ben_Hensel,

This is a very smart suggestion, and one I'd love to know how to do. Are you able to share here? Do I need to start a new thread with this question?

    Thanks for your insight.
