    Lowest Day in Lowest Month

I have a column of dates in a table. I am looking for a formula to return the lowest day in the earliest month in the column. for example if the earliest month is September i want to formula to output 9/1 of that year. If the earliest month is January then i want the output to be 1/1 of that year.

    Thanks in advance

D1 is an array formula, confirm with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER

This requires that you pick a specific year as input in cell C1.

Does that give E1 as the output you are looking for?

Re: Lowest Day in Lowest Month

sorry should have clarified. I do not want to have to put a year into C1. The dates in column A are in the format 1/1/2015, 7/25/2015, etc.

Re: Lowest Day in Lowest Month

This will give you the earliest day of the earliest month not including the year. The dates are in random order in A1:A4. The range must not include blanks.
