    Comic Book Balloons

How to create comic book balloons (notes with arrow)?

There are some stuff which I want on "Insert - Illustrations - Callouts" but how to insert text in them?

(If i insert text box in them it looks like lame because of white-colored text box outline.)

Did you try the obvious and type your text into the callout without using a textbox?

I would guess Illustrations = Shapes.
The question was how to add text to the callout, not how to add the callout.
It appears that the OP didn't try to enter text directly into the callout, otherwise the answer would have been self explanatory.

    Re: Comic Book Balloons

Create the Callout. Right click in the Callout, choose Edit Text and type the text that you want. The default text colour is white so if you change the background to white the text will disappear. Immediately click on the Home Tab after changing the background colour and choose the text colour that you want and the text will change to that colour. Use the buttons for centering and other text attributes to customize the text.

You can also format the Callout but clicking on the Callout then click on the Format Tab and many formatting options become available on the ribbon for that Callout.
