Hello to the good people of ExcelForum!
I'm not seeing a straight forward way of sorting this kind of format, I'm not sure even Excel sees it as a date, if there is a simple solution kindly let me know. Thanks

It isnt seeing it as a date because it is text, not dateI'm not sure even Excel sees it as a date
If this is pretty much a once-off, you could use Text2Columns to convert thet text dates to real dates...
1. Highlight the "date" range
2. click Data/Text2Columns
3. click Next/Next
4. Check date and select your format
5. Finished
If this is a regular thing, let me know and we can put a formula together in a helper column for teh conversion
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Thanks for your answer, for this sheet Text2Columns gets the job done nicely (didn't know it existed). I do have another "date sorting" issue but I will open a thread for that in the future. Thank you for your time
Happy to help and thanks for the feedback![]()
