populate infor off of connected table to new report

I have retrofitted the attached to remove any identifying or sensitive data. It represents the report workbook I am trying to construct. The tab "compendium" is from a data link to another workbook I cannot afford to mess up. On Sheet 5 you will see in B2 where I try to import data from Compendium sheet based on a cell value "Jane Doe". I will expand the formula to include columns A,B and D when I am done. This formula has worked for me in the past with a little bit of tweaking, but today it will not work at all. In fact, when I click Cntrl, Shift, Enter I get a file selection box. I think the fact that I am trying to glean information off of a data connected table I need to do something else, but I need to ask you all if that is right. My end goal:

Use the information on the data connected table (Compendium tab) to create seperate reports based on the contents of col F. These reports will include the data in col A,B,D, and F

Re: populate infor off of connected table to new report

I am so completely beyond frustrated at this point. I ahve been working on this all day long. What in the world is wrong with this formula? I do not get an error, I just get nothing. I have tried it in a1, a2, b1, and b2. Please take a look and help me see what I am missing. TO me this says "if the cell in column F of data says "Arlo 01/05", then populate the values of all cells from column a to f of the data to this sheet...right here...from...from col A to col F"

    =IFERROR(INDEX('DATA'!$f$2:$f$110,SMALL(IF('Data'!$F$2:$F$110="Arlo 01/05",ROW('data'!$f$2:$f$110)-1),ROWS($A$1:A1)),MATCH(B$1,'data'!$A$1:$f$110,0)),"")

My data table does have headings tool. I figured I would get that in there before someone asks.

Marking this as solved. I am just going to stick with advanced filters. That will be fine for now.
