    weird error message -

There's this error message that I sometimes get when I copy our company's P&L file to my current directory and mess around with it.

I've just copied one tab of it into one of my local files. Now when I close it I'm getting the same/similar message. Screenshotted below.

Can anyone advise how to fix it?

    Thanks!

A lot of us are unable to see images posted here, can you type the message you are getting?

Stating the obvious, and assuming you mean that the screen shot you show is the 'Error' message to which you refer, do you actually have that .xla Add in file in the C:\.....folder indicated?

As it says, it is looking for a file that it needs to run when that specific file is closed. It cannot find that file tio run, so the VBA code is throwing up that error. Try and find the file and put it back in that location

Cannot find the C:\Program Files\MS Office\Office14\....\blah.xla'!SheetClose, which has been assigned to run each time Canada Overheads.xlsx is closed. Continuing could cause errors. Cancel closing Canada Overheads.xlsx? Yes, No

Yes that's the error message. I dont seem to have that xla file. Nor am I looking to put that in, I just want to remove any kind of dependency to that file. There shouldnt be any either, the tab I brought in I consider hardcoded (whether it is or not) so I want to remove any dependencies.

I dont want to go that route. I'd rather remove any dependencies on that file.
