Question How to Remove Duplicate Rows based on some of the column information

    Hi,

I have a question with Excel 2007 (I can upgrade if need be)

    I have data in columns A - H.
I want to remove WHOLE rows based on duplicate information by comparing ALL data in columns D - H

When I highlight rows D - H and remove duplicates, data is left is A - C for the remainder of the sheet and D - H is shifted up. So the remaining data in D - H doesn't match A - C correctly.

I want to remove the ENTIRE row when a data match occurs on columns D - H. Is there a way to do this?
I have read some entries online, but they are a bit over my head. Is a macro the only way? I played around in advanced options but couldnt find anything.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I mentioned in the OP that this doesn't work for the following reason: "When I highlight rows D - H and remove duplicates, data is left is A - C for the remainder of the sheet and D - H is shifted up. So the remaining data in D - H doesn't match A - C correctly."

Can you share the sample spreadsheet once, so that we can understand what is wrong going on with your spreadsheet.

    Sorry my fault!

I have another go, and yes, you are correct.

I need to select ALL of my data first, and then UNCHECK the columns I don't want to DEDUPE on.

    Thank you so much!
