Summing duplicates in an array

Hi,

I would greatly appreciate some assistance in answering my query.

I have a spreadsheet of 'Fantasy Football' teams and wish to sum the number of times players appear in multiple teams?

On the proviso you could start with a list of names, you could use COUNTIF to show how many times each had been selected.
