Copy a formula to many cells in one column

I have a formula that I would like to copy into multiple cells (360 cells to be exact). I would like to have an exact copy of the formula. How can I do that?

I know this is a simple question. I googled a lot and searched this forum a bit but couldn't find anything.

    Select the cell
    Ctrl-C to copy
    Select the range (assuming contiguous)
    Ctrl-V to paste

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

What exactly do you mean by this statement? Special-K's response is correct. The only thing I would add is that this statement makes me think that you may need to pay careful attention to relative and absolute references to get the desired outcome when you copy/paste. If you are unfamiliar with relative and absolute references, I would suggest this introduction: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...es_in_formulas

Doesn't work. It's modifying the formula to refer to different cells. Looking at a cell that I pasted to 5 cells down, has the formula referring to cells that are 5 cells below the one that I copied the formula from.

You have to use Absolute references in your formula like this =$A$2
Copy the formula then in the Name Box (above the row numbers and left of the formula bar) enter the range that you want like this A5:A365 and hit enter. That will select that range. Then all you have to do is Ctrl + V to paste the formula into the whole range.
