Conditional Formatting where cell value is result of VLOOKUP formula

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to be able to apply conditional formatting to a column of cells where the value in the cell is the result of a VLOOKUP function.

I've searched and searched and haven't found anything that answers my question, although some were a little similar, they tended to be requests for help with conditional formatting based on another cell value.

I've attached a sheet and hidden the extraneous columns so that it all doesn't look confusing.

On the '2016 Sheet' tab there is, in column Z, a list of "Release" figures which are pulled from the 'Historic Data' sheet which comes from a report using our call centre software. I have highlighted these in lilac so they can be clearly seen. I want conditional formatting to turn the cells red if the result is 10.0 or more. When I try to apply CF using the "normal" greater than method, it highlights the cell whatever the value, presumably because of the VLOOKUP.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Highlight the range you want to apply conditional formatting and use Custom Function =VALUE($Z8)>=10 instead.

JieJenn, thank you so much, I tried so many different things and as I often do, forgot to look at the simplest.

    Thank you so, so much
