Good afternoon. Traditionally - please excuse my english. And please suggest a solution for my situation.
1. SharePoint. The implication is that has Excel file that everyone can to download and work with one common base. The results should be stored in a common database, which is a very large table;
2. The possibility of logging employees actions;
3. The ability to lock change (view only) some columns or ranges;
4. ~500k rows, ~50 columns, ~50 people at the same time may work with the file.
As far as I know, there is a possibility to load the database access to excel. But please advise the best solution. So that employees can work with a common base, the result would be recorded in the one common single table (1 database/1 excel table).
Ideally, we can enjoy and Access, but not all colleagues own formulas for Access, many habitual use excel formulas (like vlookup etc. etc...
for example, to use the VLOOKUP to a shared file, comparing it with their local files)
How to get out gracefully in this situation? I believe that the work Excel, loading and writing to a remote Access database - this is some distortion. Moreover, that to load easily, but the record back to Access how much understood - much more difficult. Moreover, since Excel will access a remote database, Access, it is a means to network storage, or on the FTP server. That is, the easier it will be to put in Excel file sharing online storage than on sharepoint?
