Excel Functions and Range Name Lists Not Appearing when Entering In a Cell

    Dear All,

How can I word this as such, tried searching on the web but could not find anything. Here I go, you know when you type in a function name i.e. SUMIF then you get a drop down list of all the functions that begin with i.e. S and even the name ranges. Well, that seems to have all disappeared for me all of a sudden. I'm not sure if there was some checkbox that I accidentally turned off these appearing etc.. but it started from yesterday. I have not upgraded to any new office or Windows over the past few weeks and this has been working fine until yesterday... I don't recall any office updates or windows updates either running on my machine yesterday.

I can still type in the function name and I see the function inputs appear still i.e. if I type in SUMIF I will see it appear as "SUMIF(range, criteria, sum_range)" just that I cannot see any drop down list box of functions, range names etc..

I am using Windows 10 and Office 365.

Appreciated for any help possible on this.

    Cheers..........

    Welcome to the Forum Gunner,

Perhaps you accidentally clicked Alt+Down Arrow when in formula edit mode. This will toggle it on and off.

I hope this helps, please let me know!

    Regards,

    David

    Hey David,

Brilliant worked a treat, never knew that to be the case. Well noted now, many many thanks for that.
