    Comparing Fields in Excel

    Hello,

I need to be able to check a very large sheet which contains products with pricing. I need to ensure that there are no products on the sheet that are selling for less than 3x the cost price. The cost price is in column H and the selling price is in column E. I am at a loss on how to approach this. I would love to either:

1 - Be able to identify and automatically correct items where the selling prices is less than 3x the cost
    or
2 - Be able to find them one at a time and manually make the adjustment

    Can anyone offer any guidance?

In a helper column, type this formula

Assuming your data starts in row2, =if(E2>=H2*3,"OK","Needs Adjustment")

Then copy down the helper column.

You could use Conditional Formatting to flag items that are not 3 times the cost price.
Select column H and go to Conditional Formatting, New Rule, Use Formula..., and enter this formula and choose a formatting that will stand out.
