Copying information from coloumns and rows that have formulas withiout loosing the result.

I have a spread sheet that has lots of information. The first 2 columns have the information I want in another worksheet.

When I copy those two columns and associated rows I get all kinds of errors but not the information displayed in that cell.

Is it possible to copy the information displayed to another worksheet?

When you paste the information, selecting 'Paste Values' will paste only the information, not the formulas.

    This worked perfectly thank you.

I then saved it as a CSV (comma delimited)

At the front of the number is a + sign

When I close it it saves but shows it may loos some features.

I save when I reopen the file the numbers formally with a + sign in front of them opens like this 2.63712E+11

When I change the column to number the number returns but no + sign.

I saved it with the column as number format with the +sign. When it opens its its gone back to general. Change it to number format but no + sign

Saving the file as a CSV severely limits many of Excel's regular capabilities. I don't work with CSV files often, but I believe that if you want to preserve Excel's full formatting capabilities, you'll need to save the file as an .xlsx file.

I would normally save as a .xlsx file. However i am making an address book and to convert it to a vcard i have to save it as an csv file

CSVs don't handle Excel's formatting well. Would it work to save each number as a string by adding an apostrophe to the front? If the numbers in Excel that need to be preserved are in column A, you could create a column with the formula ="'"&$A1 filled down through your rows. This would create a column with apostrophes preceding the numbers. If you keep this new column or paste its values over the numbers in A, I believe the saved CSV would preserve the apostrophe-preceded numbers as they are, without changing them to scientific notation.
