COnditionaal format for conditional format cells

    Hi
In row A2 to A40 i have given the minimum closing stock of my products. Its also conditional formatted that if any of the stock is less than the miniumum quantity then the cell will be red highlighted.
Now the formula needed is in cell A1 where its the SUM of cell A2 to A40, if any one of the cell between A2 to A40 is in red then cell A1 also needs to be red.
    Can anyone help

This would be the general formula for the CF rule:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Replace 'minimum quantity' with a number.
This assumes that minimum quantity is the same for A2:A40.

    Hi
The minimum quantities are different in cell A2 to A40.
And in cell B2 to B40 where teh actual stock is shown it is highlighted in red as we have given the condition there.
Now i need a summary of all these conditions that if any one of these conditions are in red then the cell A1 should also be red

We would understand this better if you would attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Remember to desensitize the data if necessary. Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
Just off hand I could suggest that that you copy your conditional formatting formula to a range, say C2:C40 so that those cells will display either true of false. You could then apply a conditional formatting rule to A1 that reads =OR(C2:C40=TRUE)
Again it would help if you upload a sample of your spreadsheet.
Let me know if you have any questions.
