Hi , I am preparing a leave calculation chart for my team . I can get it to calculate number of days leave and sickness etc but need to put something in that counts the number of periods someone is off sick . Hope this makes some sense . Is there a formula I can put into i7 that can do this automatically ? Thanks

Thanks although when I cut and paste the =sickper(j7:nj7) into cell i7 it throws up a #name? error .
That's because you didn't copy code into your workbook.
Pres All+F11 to open VBA editor
Insert Module
Copy-paste above solution
Save workbook as .xlsm
Then use your formula.
