Excel in emails

If someone sends me an amail in Excel it comes out as rubbish when using excel starter 10, Is there any way I would be able to read this in its original form. I [resume thet are using a more sophiticated form of excel

Get yourself a copy of OpenOffice (Free- any basic search will find it ). It can certainly read and write Excel files, not sure about its support for more 'specialised` functions like splitting a worksheet but it's free to find out.
