    Question Multidimensional Variables

Hello everyone, first time here, sorry if this post is in the wrong section!

Essentially, I have ton of variables which I need to sort out. Some of these variables link to other variables, for example, imagine a complex and overlapping decision tree.

I want to comply this data into one sheet on Excel, to be able to view/track different branches so to speak, and to be able to extract the values into different spreadsheets on colleague's computers.

Does any of this make sense, and if so, is it achievable? I have a small understanding on Excel at this point but can learn quickly.

    Thanks!

    Pete

    Re: Multidimensional Variables

    Hi -

What you are describing is pretty vague. Excel is very powerful. A lot of things can be accomplished with formulas and anything that can't can usually be overcome with some VBA (not my strong suit). Can you post a sample workbook with some data and a couple examples of desired outcomes?

I have attached a photo. The X axis is a list of cases, each case will have its own journey. The Y axis is a list of events. I hope this helps.

    Re: Multidimensional Variables

OK - So you have Event 1000601 and Event 1000601.01, and you have Cases A through F. I'm not sure what the X's mean. What do you want to do with this information?
