Populate cell from data in a different spreadsheet

Is it possible to populate a cell with the data in a cell in an entirely different spreadsheet/workbook - not just a different tab on the same spreadsheet?

Yes.. All you have to do is type the equals sign, and click on the cell of the workbook and press enter.

Hi DarthBailey, what do you want to achieve? Get the Total of "Say A1" in every sheet and sum them in another sheet? or Let say get Value of A1 in every sheet and display them in one sheet? If you just want to sum values from different sheet then the answer of NeedForExcel is applicable, but if you just want to get Value of "Say A1" in every sheet and display them in one sheet, then please take a look at this, this might help.

The formula then look for a value in sheet(05.02.13) (In cell C4 value) ang the Material Code is 70007 ( in Cell B4 value).
