sorting difficulty in a text file

Radius as a function of phase at a certain 1.072GHz

i have a txt file in which i have the following structure many subtables in which every subtable is characterized by a certain radius

i need to collect only one row from each subtabe (at a certain 1.027GHz)\
and to make a table with a structure of which consists of to columns'so for this particular example i need a result
i need to go to each subtable and collect the phase for that frequency and say what radius gives me this phase in that frequency

for example for these to big subtables i need to get one subtable as follows

R argument
1 53
1.36 36

Frequency / GHz argument (R=1)
1 58.126722
1.009 57.482842

1.054 54.306128
1.063 53.678961
1.072 53
1.081 52.432413
1.09 51.812946
1.099 51.195945
1.108 50.581382
1.117 49.969205
1.126 49.359379
1.135 48.751861

Frequency / GHz argument (R=1.36)
1 74.192104
1.009 73.736473
1.018 73.285743
1.027 72.839935
1.036 72.399079
1.045 71.963186
1.054 71.532284
1.063 71.106413
1.072 36
1.081 70.269919
1.09 69.859394

Re: sorting difficulty in a text file

Hi, welcome to the forum

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards
Ford
