How to progressively count similar items in a table?

I am trying to do an experiment for fantasy football where I try to see if a team with multiple players at the same position on the same bye week affects scoring for that team. I need to figure out a formula that allows me to identify whether or not a team (teamID) has multiple players at the same position with the same bye, and then sum the total score for that team. I would like to find the relative position of each position against all the other players of the same position on the same team (ex. so the column to the right for the first team would read [1,1,2,2,3] for [RB1, WR1, WR2, RB2, RB3]).

I figure this has to be a MATCH function, but I'm not sure how to make it so it progressively counts the number of RBs on each team? Anybody have any ideas? Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, you have uploaded a picture which many here cannot see and in addition, no one can work with a picture without manually reconstructing the data.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
