Question New Report Builder fo Excel workbook

Any suggestions for a program that will build good reports from a 200 column Excel workbook with up to 5000 rows. Will need to be able to calculate and do all functions in excel? I would write a macro but there are too many required reports to do, The most the report would be asked of would require the info of less that 24 of the columns but could require all of the rows for this database holds a lot of records. Your help is GREATLY APPRECIATED

Walt, welcome to the forum

1st, is this an access or excel question (you posted in the access forum)
2nd, asking the way you did is a bit like asking is anyone knows a good restaurant (depends on what you like to eat?), you will need to add far more detail than what you have...
- what does your data look like
- where is it
- what needs to be brought in
- in what format
- what does the output need to look like
- etc
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards

As an after-thought, you will probably be better off building this yourself, that way, you get what YOU want, not what suited someone else (plus, I dont think such a beast [a report builder program] exists)

Re: New Report Builder fo Excel workbook

First, I didn't know that I was using an ACCESS forum, I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone. Second this need to work in EXCEL only. Third, I'm not looking for graphs or anything to fancy for appearance but I need to Analyze data by sorting and filtering which can be done in excel. But I need it in report format that fits on a landscaped 81/2 by 11 and what I have needs to wrap down to the next line. But if some graphs are available that would be great.
Fourth, all of my data is being pulled into 1 large excel workbook that grows bigger every day with more jobs being added everyday.
Fifth, being reported could be coming from anyone of the columns in the database, based on bid dates, managers, sales estimators and so forth.
Sixth, The format would be able to fit on many pages but on a 81/2 by 11 landscaped page.
seventh, the output a small package to hand out in the meetings, so things can be discussed and we can adjust projects to meet our needs.

I hope I have answered you questions, but if you need a sample I can send one in a PDF for you to view.

Walt, maybe I came across wrong

First, I didn't know that I was using an ACCESS forum, I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone.
you never offended anyone, nor did I mean to imply that members do sometimes post in what appears to be the wrong forum, and when asked, have explained their reason for using that forum. Others have used a forum by mistake, no biggie at all

My reason for asking is that you will probably get more replies in a forum that fits better, and I can move the thread there for you

a PDF is of little use to work with, it may show what you want, but not the underlying data, can you upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

This is just one of the reports, but they are all similar.
