Underscoring doesn't print to end point

I'm making a form that contains a question like Name: ____________________. On the screen, the underscore line goes to the end of the page but when I print preview, the line stops short of what the screen shows. Printing is likewise. How do I get the underscore to extend as far as the screen shows it does?

Does the underscore overlap into other cells to the right?
If so, are all these cells included in your print range?

Can you provide a sample workbook?

Also, why use an underscore instead of a border on the bottom of a cell?

You may want to set your print area as well.

Re: Underscoring doesn't print to end point

Thanx for your replies: I've set my page layout and have 10 cells across the page. The cells are the default width of 8.43.
I marked my boundaries of the page by going to print then back to the workbook which results in a dashed line that supposedly
marks the boundaries of the print area.
In each row, I am asking various questions that extend from cell 1 across the page. Most of the questions have a Yes or No
symbol to check for the answer but some of the questions require a written response. For those questions I end the question
either a ? or a : the create a line for their answer by using the Caps + underscore keys. Each section is bordered with a
darker line so the line that is formed by the underscore is a separate line from the border. I've tried to attach the workbook
with the problem areas but being new to this, couldn't figure out how to do it. Below is a copy & paste sample of one of the
question blocks. The 2nd line shows the underscore not reaching the end of the area even though it does in the actual workbook.
The lyra symbols are actually square symbols for the person to check.

Try changing to a monotype font (like Courier New). This will make the letters and the underscores exactly the same size.
