    Need to make a report useful for comparison to others

    I have a system that runs a client report. It has information I need to compare to information on another report.
    However, rather than one row with all the info for each client, it generates a report with multiple rows per client, each row containing different information. Blank spaces in between, of course.

    Each report has hundreds of clients. I need to get the data into one spreadsheet easily compared to another. I believe that means on row per client with the relevant data in each row. Then I can simply use Vlookup to compare.

    I have tried to attach a sample, but clicking the attachment box seems to only open a blank dialogue in either IE or Chrome. So, it looks something like this:

    5/1/2001 Total: 6

    Date of Service client Name - Control# ordered by Resource Site of device
    5/2/2001 client 1 - 123456 Tom Baker STAPLER (B) mesa

    Used/Returned/Wasted Serial#/Lot# Expiration Vendor Mfg

    JustJimAZ welcome to the forum

    It's often hard to make out data when you copy/paste, so upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
    To attach a file to your post,
    click advanced (next to quick post),
    scroll down until you see "manage file",
    click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
    click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

    Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
