How to bring data from another tab if date matches today?

Hello I have a sample workbook attached that normally has 100s if not 1000s of records. I would like to bring over that data only if the date in the cases tab (column C) ='s the date in the "workdone" tab. I know I can write a simple if or maybe even a vlookup formula to bring over what was done today but that would require I have more rows in my "workdone" tab and have a lot of blanks in between. Normally I only work 5-8 cases a day... is there a formula that could bring over only the data that was worked today but avoid having those blank spaces?

The quickest way is to create a pivot table for your data, setting the name and type as the Rows and the date as the filter.

If you change the layout to Tabular Form, and select the "do not show subtotals" option under Subtotals in the PivotTable design tab you will pretty much have what you show on your WorkDone tab.
