Linking data from another tab

Good day.

I have a spreadsheet (Excel 2010)

Tab 1
Column A is a list of names a-z
Column B is number of items in store (of the material in col A)

Tab 2
Column A,B,C are info only
Column D is the same names in Tab 1, but in random order
Column E Needs to say the same number as the number in store (Tab 1 Column B)

Is there a quicker way than just putting =Tab 1!B6 (for example), as the list is quite long and Tabs 3,4,5,6,7,8 etc all need to do the same thing linking back to Tab 1.

This looks like a VLookup(D2,Tab1!$A$2:$B$5000,2,False) and then pull this formula down.
