Help with Production Report Formula

The “Days Outstanding” formula in the spreadsheet highlighted in red does not make sense as it does not provide an accurate picture of how we will impact the backlog with the amount of incoming mail. Help and suggestions welcome! This is for a call center escalation backlog report taking into consideration daily capacity.

Hi, welcome to the forum

What did you expect the answer to be?

btw, you can shorten that formula to this...
=IFERROR((G5+E5)/(J5),0)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Help with Production Report Formula

Thanks! Glad to be here. I just don't think that mathematically speaking we can get to days outstanding by taking production backlog count and dividing it by the backlog count at 8AM without even taking oldest date into consideration. It also will not tell me what my average backlog days will be within a week from the 26th with accuracy.

Make sense?

Well without bringing in hours on BOTH sides of the equation, then the "days prod" formula would be...
work to do/duration
which is pretty much what you have there.
