Excel Alternative - moving individual cells around a table

Hey guys. Does anyone know an Excel alternative for mac (or web) that will let you move cells around a table, independently of one another?

I want to be able to create & manage a multi Project Overview. The layout would in theory function like a multi-column, drag & drop ToDo list where I can move each ToDo independently of each other, up and down rows and across different columns.

So, say I have a 2 column table, and I want to move cell A5 (Column A, Row 5) up into cell A1's position, but without also moving B5 also. Is this possible?

In another scenario, I want to move A5 up and across into B1's position, without that move effecting any of the other cells positions?

Sounds to me like you should just be able to drag then to where you want them? This will obviously replace whatever is in teh destination cell

Yes, I dont want to replace the cells though. I want all the cells to shuffle about to make room for the new cell that was moved into place

Not going to be able to do that "move" with regular formulas If you are working with data and need to show stuff in specific places, based on certain criteria, then maybe the destination cells could have a formula that will make that choice for you, but they would not move or shuffle, they would just "pick" answers

Hi Kyle. Yes, exactly. But I would be able to change the headers of the columns to reflect the names of my Projects, rather than the stages of a project (in-progress, complete, etc)
