Would this be correct?
=(CEILING(C3,3)*CEILING(G3,3))/3
Presumably you have to buy flooring by the sq yd since that what you have in K8.
So we have to round up the figures to the nearest multiple of 3 since they are originally in feet, hence the CEILING function.
As an example, an area 3ft by 4ft covers 12 square feet but I'm gussing that to minimize the amount of cuts you have to make to the flooring you would need to buy 6 sq yds.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
Measurements for the flooring is 24x30 that is 720 sq ft...if I use the the formula =(Ceiling(c3,3)*Ceiling(3,3))/3 it gives me 300 sq yd. that seems like a lot....
240 sq yd in my spreadsheet
Check the formula you've entered, it should be
=(CEILING(C3,3)*CEILING(G3,3))/3
