    Can't change Autorecover File Location

For some reason when I go into File>Options>Save and change the location where the auto recover saves to it continues to save to the default location despite my changes. I am using Excel 2010 on Windows 7 and I have tried using multiple different locations to save the auto recover files to yet it always goes to the default location regardless. Could anyone help me fix this and/or tell me why it refuses to change the save location.

Re: Can't change Autorecover File Location

    Welcome to the forum.

I think what you're seeing is the difference between the auto recover location and the auto save (aka auto revision) location.
According an MS Technet page (https://social.technet.microsoft.com...al?forum=excel), 'The location for AutoREVISION files cannot be changed.'

I recently started a new job so am a bit busy and may not reply quickly. Sorry - it's not personal - I will reply eventually.
If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.
You don't need to give me rep if I helped, but a thank-you is nice.
