Talking index matching and removing duplicates

Hi, I can't attach my spreadsheet for some reason otherwise I would but I've shown a photo of an example.

    excel photo 2.PNG

In the example, if i choose a date range, e.g. 07/01/2016 to 08/02/2016, I want to create a column list displaying the names in this range but not duplicated. So the result would look like this

I have no idea if this is possible, but thanks

To attach a file click Go Advanced then click the paper clip on the right of the yellow smiley face.

The quickest and easiest way would be to use a pivot table.

Re: index matching and removing duplicates

    Here is formula solution.
I couldn't type the whole data set by hand so here is a small sample which should work fine once you apply it to your table.
**I have placed the Start date in cell E4 and End date in F4
Enter formula in cell E5 and copy down
    Formula: copy to clipboard
