Excel 2013 changes hyperlinks to local drive

hi guys

This is driving me mad. I've got a large doc (and a looming deadline) with a lot of hyperlinks to a work drive. I've opened it up today and all the links have changed - they've been chopped in half and redirected to my C drive.

I can't find anything about this online that's actually recent. Every topic seems to talk about moving from 2003 to 2010 (we've been using 2013 for years), and the doc was always saved as a 2013 document.

What can I do to ensure this doesn't carry on happening? and is there a way of fixing the broken links?

I'm using W7 on PC, Office 2013.

Thanks.

EDIT - office 2013, not 2010.

We would need to see samples of what you had, I know of no "change" that just happens
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Excel 2013 changes hyperlinks to local drive

I've solved it.

Essentially each of the hyperlinks had changed from:

\\Server\folder\folder\folder\file.doc

to

C:\folder\file.doc

No idea why, but I've gone into the properties and added the server name to the Hyperlink Base. This seems to be keeping all the hyperlinks pointing in the right direction.
