Automatically update stock when barcode scans into worksheet

    Hi all,

Please can somebody help a novice?

I have column A which lists all the product code names in my sheet.
Then i have columns C,D,E etc which will list peoples names.

I have all my barcodes on my products.
What i want to be able to do, is that when i choose a column under somebody's name, i want to be able to scan the product, which will then check along column A to find it, and then put a 1 in the appropriate row, in the column of the persons name. If i scan it twice, obviously i want it to change it to a 2.
EG. Implement the number of each item, each person has had by 1, each time i scan a product

    Is this achievable?

    Thanks for any help

    Hi,

I assume after you scan the barcode you want it to find itself within column A then increment usage under the persons name ? did i understand that correctly

    Hi,

I have done a bit of editing and tidying up. I know its probably not exactly what you want, but I think its the best I can do.

I have put the inventory in drop menu as a backup to the scanner (just in case it will break) and just scan the item id, select the person you want to assign it to. the name doesnt clear so you can add more scans without having to keep selecting a different person. the table updates automatically

There are hidden pages so please feel free to open them
