Count cells containing Yes if another cell says yes

Hi

I'm trying to count cells If(G4="yes" ) then count cells in J4:M4 containing yes

Cells in G4 will say yes or no, cells in J4:M4 will only contain Yes

I just can't seem to work out a formula to get it to count

Grateful for any help you can give please

Either of these will count the number of "yes" in J4:M4 only if G4 = "yes" and will return nothing if G4 does not = "yes".

sorry to be a pain as this formula works great, I now have to put this in a table format also

=IF(G4:G150="yes",COUNTIF(I4:L150,"yes"),"") the cell shows up as value? I'm not sure what to do

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with that. Could you explain a little? Perhaps a sample workbook showing expected results would be helpful.
