    Help with difficult unique countifs

Hello. I have a column of dates and then another column to the left with statuses. I want to count the number of UNIQUE dates ONLY if the status is "paid". However, I only want the unique count. So if there are five of the same dates, and five status of paid it should only count this as 1. How can I do this? Spreadsheet attached. Thanks.

Re: Help with difficult unique countifs

Hey AlKey this is great. Thanks. Can you describe the logic for these things? I tried to walk through but it was difficult.

Also, it doesn't seem to work if there are blanks (for status). What do I do in those cases? Thanks.

I've attached the "real" spreadsheet and your formulas don't work

    Thanks for your help.

@ Oelder. That is great!! Thanks. What about if I have more values other than just "no"?

@ Oelder. That formula though gets really slow when you have lots of rows (which I do). Yeah, my spreadsheet freezes up when I try your method (I have 80,000 rows). I'll try oeldere's again.

Edit, actually even your formulas get bogged down when there are more than 10000 rows.

Another way. It has to be array entered.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

If you aren’t familiar with array-entered formulas array enter means the formula must be committed from edit mode by simultaneously pressing and holding down Ctrl and Shift while hitting Enter.
