Automatically change dates on individual reports

    Hi,

this is a very basic question but i cannot seem to find the answer i am looking for:

I have a daily report excel sheet that i need to print for each weekday for the upcoming 12 months and also the past 12 months. my question is this: Is there a way that excel can automatically change the date on each individual report for the time period? or do i have to manually change the date on every single report?

any feedback whatsoever would be greatly appreciated

    thanks!

    E,

your question isn't very clear. But here is a possible solution.

For the date on today's report, use
    Formula: copy to clipboard

For the previous day's report, use
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

And so on. So on any given day, the reports will have the all the dates you need.

    Cheers

Re: Automatically change dates on individual reports

I do this all the time, the most common way to make this easy is to have a single sheet where you manually update key pieces of reporting information, like the date(s) as you've noted. Then on all the actual report sheets they use formulas linked bac to my control sheet to display those key values on their reports.

Further, I then design my reports to build their results off of those control values as well. So when I make a change to the one control sheet values, all the report sheets update first for those same controls, then for their display results as well.

Amit above gives a perfect example of the kinds of formulas you would use throughout your setup.
