Exclamation Creating a search box and highlight results

    Hi,

I need to create a search "engine" to help users of the document locate information they need quickly.

I would like them to simply type in the data they are looking for in the search box, and for the results to be highlighted in the document so they are easy to locate.

I have been searching online but many tutorials are missing part of their instructions and I am not sure how to adapt the coding for my document...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!

    V

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Hi,

Thank you for your quick response!

Here is a mock up document that would resemble the database (many more tabs and info would be added...)

Please take a look and let me know if there is anything else I need to include.

    Thank you!!

Yikes, if you are going to have a lot of tabs and a lot or rows then I dont think I would reccomend using conditional formatting, which I was initially going to recommend.

If you are going to do this across a lot of data I would likely recommend VBA which is going to get ugly fairly quick LoL
