Comparing two columns in excel to find differences

Hi all experts,

I have two large columns in the excel (2010) that want to compare them to find differences. Please find the attached short data. Could you please tell me how do I compare Column A with B and if there is a non-matching string it will be printed in column C?
Also, please kindly tell me if there are 3 columns instead of 2 columns, what should I do to compare them and get the different strings?

For your two column issue put this in C1 and you'll get the number of matches fro Column A in Column B

For three columns (assuming the third is in columns C) put this in D1 and drag down (adjust the range accordingly)
