Identifying days where no events occurred

I am looking at one month of data where there are different start/stop times for events. I'd like to count how many days of that month had no events whatsoever. I'm having trouble figuring out how to factor in event ranges that are more than one day long, hence have a 'hidden' date that should be counted. For example, if an event starts on the 2nd and goes until the 5th, the 3rd and 4th are excluded from my count.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

I've looked at your file and get what you want the output to be. However, I don't see any of your attempts to do what you want so far - I was expecting to see one or two formulae that you had tried. What have you tried so far?

Also, why are the dates in the two columns in US format? Is there a reason for this?
