Question Matching new data with existing database

    Hello.

I got a database with the evolution of my sales across time. Each row represents a product and the columns represents equal gaps of time. The value of each cell is the amount sold. From that you can draw curves for each product.

Now I have a new product, or a new curve, and I want to know which of the existing curves matches the best with the new one.

Which is the best way to do that?

    Thanks for the attention.

You could create a helper column to compare lets say 2 columns of your choice. Col B results divided by Col C results. (This would include your new product and curve)
Highlight all your new helper column results.. Right click and choose Quick Analysis; select color scale. The resulting color closest to your new product and it's curve is the closest match.
    HTH.
