    Using conditionals in Solver

Hello, I am using Solver to optimize the worker´s schedule in a factory.

In my Objetive cell I need to make an addition of many cells but only the ones that have positive numbers. These cells changes its value acording with the variables. The problem is that as I need to use the PREMIUM SOLVER PLATAFORM (cant use the regular one due to the amount of variables) I cant use any formula with IF. So, the question is, How can I add only positive numbers without using IF

By the way I am trying to attach the file but it is the first time I am posting in ExcelForum and cant find the way to make it, very frustrating

Perhaps setting it up with a constraint i.e. numbers must be "=>0".

If your model is linear you could test the "OpenSolver" (google for OpenSolver) developed by the University of Aukland New Zeeland. For a linear model there is no limits on the number of constraints.

To upload a file click "Go Advanced" button, on the new page scroll down to "Manage attachment" and click the blue text to upload a file.
