    Question about ctrl+shift+down arrow logic

    Hi,
I realized there's something strange with the ctrl+shift+down shortcut key (and the End property of cells). Suppose you have a completely empty sheet except cell A4 and A5, and the active cell is A1. If you press ctrl+shift + down arrow, cell A1:A4 is selected. Why is that? I'd expect it to select A1:A3 or A1:A5 or maybe nothing? Why select the one non-empty cell and stop there?

It is to help with moving to the next available cell. It will jump to the next cell (in this case below), that is the opposite in terms of being empty or not to the one it is leaving.

If you have a ton of data (although you don't have to) and you are looking to jump straight to the next empty cell, all you have to do is select one with content press your buttons and down it goes to the next empty cell.

OK, I guess ctrl+shift+down is consistent with ctrl+down's behavior, and in this case as you said it makes sense to select the first available cell. I guess there's no better answer than this...?
