Question Move the cursor from the formula entry to the next empty cell in a particular column.

With the cursor focused in the formula bar.....move to the next open
    cell in a certain column.

    Not using a mouse. Thanks!

Pressing Enter will move to the next Cell, (depending on your options it will either move to the next cell to the right or below).

If you want to skip specific cells, select the cells you want them to be able to enter data, the press the option key on your keyboard (Box with lines in it next to Ctrl), select Format Cells, tab the menu over to Protection and un-tick Locked, then ok.

Now go to the review tab of the ribbon, select Protect Sheet, un-tick select locked cells and press enter (no password), now you will only be able to go into required cells for data entry, each time you press enter it will goto the next cell.
