Delete just the filtered rows and not the hidden ones.

Hello All,

I am new to the forum. I am running into a problem in excel 2007. When I delete the filtered rows, the hidden rows are getting deleted. I did not have this problem earlier. So not sure what is happening. Is it because it is 2007 or do I have to activate any other features? Driving me crazy. The filtered rows are filtered on a no. of criteria. I tried using the filter under date, but that is not working.

Please advise.

I am unable to replicate your problem. For me, deleting visible rows in a filtered list, leaves teh hidden rows undeleted.

Can you upload a sample file please?

Attached is a file and I have put the filter on. When I delete the rows it deletes the hidden rows. Thanks for the help.

I deleted what was showing, then removed the filter and the rest of the data was still there?

It should have been till row 67 which is the number 3881258. So it is deleting everything that comes after the filter from row 33 to 77.
